Hello all,
In this short post I would like to announce a couple of small features that have been added today. With these featurese we hope to help you even more in finding the publications, statistics and insights you were looking for.
- More links on Delicious: For those who haven’t noticed: in the right sidebar, a bit to the bottom of the page, there’s a Delicious-feed that shows bookmarks we marked with the tag “MPDB”. These bookmarks are additional resources that aren’t really publications. These might be statistics, research summaries or interesting articles. Definitely worth the read if you are digging deeper into a certain subject.

And a direct link to the feed: http://feeds.delicious.com/v2/rss/mattijsd/mpdb?count=15 - Rate posts: Today we activated the “rate posts”-feature. With this feature, visitors can rate the quality of posts and publications. We stronly encourage you to rate posts you like and dislike because this would give the database a very useful extra dimension! However, we are aware of the problems that might occur. That’s why we’ll let this feature have a trial run to see if posts and publications are rated correctly if not moderated. So we might remove the feature in the future if bots etc. take over. But for now, please feel free to rate!
- MPDB Twitter List: Twitter recently launched its “Twitter lists”. A very handy feature to compile lists of tweeps around a certain common quality. For the MPDB we created a list of interesting tweeps to follow regarding research, stats and publications about new media. If you know additional tweeple we shoud add to the list, please let me know in the comment section! This isn’t a static list, it will be adjusted regularly.
Find and follow the list here: http://twitter.com/mediapubDB/research-resources
Also, don’t forget to subscribe to our RSS-feed and follow us on Twitter to be fully on top of things! And please, don’t hesitate to add site suggestions and submit publications! The community thanks you!
Kind regards,
Mattijs
